Is Jesus Enough? — Matthew 1:18-25

1. He is Fully ______________________.

This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David,
the son of Abraham . (Matthew 1:1; see Luke 1:32)

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His
mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before
they came together, she was found to be pregnant through
the Holy Spirit . (v.18)

“Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?…” And they took offense at him.
(Matthew 13:55-57; see Luke 3:23)

Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the

front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “ Friend, your

began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks
blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone? Jesus knew
what they were thinking... ”But I want you to know that the Son
of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins .” So he said to
the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go
home.” Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he
had been lying on and went home praising God. (Luke 5:18-25)

God said to Moses, “I am who I am . This is what you are to
say to the Israelites: ‘ I am has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:13-14)

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the
prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they
will call him Immanuel ” (which means “ God with us ”).
(Matthew 1:22-23; see Isaiah 7:14).

David, Solomon, Asa, Jehoshaphat, Hezekiah. (Genesis 26:3;
28:15; 48:21; Exodus 3:12; Joshua 1:9; Judges 2:18; 6:12-16; 1
Samuel 3:19; 10:7; 18:12-14; 1 Chronicles 28:20; 2 Chronicles
15:2; 17:3; 2 Kings 18:7)

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate
to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth . The
world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows
him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you .
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My
Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our
home with them.” (John 14:23)
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God , and
the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
