I Wish…. I Could Worry Less

  1. Pray more than __________________________
  • Find a personal rhythm of prayer

“6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7

“25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose” - Acts 16:16-40

  1. Trade __________________________ for God’s peace

  • Cast your anxiety on Jesus

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Phil 4:7

“7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:7

  1. Have the same ____________________________ as Jesus

  • When stressed, arm yourself with the same attitude as Jesus

1Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever                  suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 1 Peter 4:1-2
